Ol Maisor River House

A spacious and comfortable four bedroom house, off-grid on thousands of acres of Ol Maisor wilderness in Laikipia. A family owned and run, laid-back luxury, self-catered home that’s perfect for couples, multi-generational families and groups of friends.

Four spacious bedrooms; two ensuite in the main house and two in a separate cottage sharing a bathroom. All bathrooms have hot showers and flush toilets.

In the main house a large open plan lounge and dining area boasts homely decor, a comfy sitting area and fireplace, leading onto a large verandah that overlooks a beautiful lawn, small swimming pool, a dam, and the river beyond.

A Day On Ol Maisor

A woman holding a young child inside a vehicle, observing an elephant outside in a savannah landscape.

We highly recommend self-game drives in a 4x4 around the farm (map provided with ‘hot spots’).

The house is located in an area of rich natural diversity with an astounding number of wild animals, from herds of elephant, buffalo and giraffe to predatory lion, leopard and cheetah. The bird life is exceptional with high concentrations of different species.

A backyard with a small round stone pool, green grass, trees, a house with a chimney, and a swimming pool in a sunny outdoor setting.

The house is self-catered with a gas oven, solar fridge, utensils, crockery and cutlery, Wifi, drinking water, fire-wood and a BBQ provided.

We have a lovely house lady in the day to help with washing up and tidying the house.
